Goal to Game Plan.Turn your marketing goals into an actionable strategy.

A free, half-day live workshop for B2B marketing and sales leaders at companies doing more than $7.5 million a year. Bring your goal and a few numbers. Zach Murphy teaches you how to work out what the goal takes, find the step where you’re losing buyers, and build the plan. You walk away with it done.

Most marketing plans are a list of tactics.

A trade show because you always go. Paid search because it worked once. A strategy picks the few things that move your number, in the right order, at the right time.

Three parts, your own numbers.

Zach teaches each part live and walks an example company through it. Then you run your own numbers through the same steps before moving to the next part.

The number.

The plan.

A strategy on one page, built around fixing that step. Every tactic names its step, its number and its timing, or it gets cut. Then you test it against your budget and a bad year.

You leave withA one-page strategy and what to watch each month.

What you leave with.

  • Your number, and what it takes month by month
  • The step in the buying process where you lose the most buyers
  • A one-page strategy with only the tactics that move your number
  • A list of what is still a guess, so you know what to go find

Who it’s for.

Marketing and sales leaders at B2B companies doing more than $7.5 million a year in revenue, where a sale takes months and involves several people.

Everyone applies. If your company is over $7.5 million, you’re accepted automatically and your Zoom link comes by email. The application keeps the room full of people building the same kind of plan, so the examples and questions stay useful for everyone in it.

New in your role? Your first plan sets how your first year gets judged. This is the afternoon to build it.

You plan one business line: your biggest sales-led segment. Companies with several segments can repeat the method on the rest.

One afternoon. One plan you can defend.

Bring the number you need to hit. Leave knowing what it takes, where you’re losing buyers and what to fix first.

Frequently asked questions.

Something else? Email info@gogreymatter.com.

Is this a sales pitch?

No. The afternoon is working time on your own plan. We take about ten minutes at the end to explain what Grey Matter does. If you want a second set of eyes afterward, you can book a free 30-minute plan review.

How is this different from a funnel calculator?

A calculator tells you how many leads you need. It does not tell you which step in the buying process is losing buyers, or which tactics to cut. You do the math first, then find the weak step, then build the plan around fixing it.

My data is a mess. Will this work?

Yes. A range beats a guess, and the prep email tells you what to use if you do not have a number. You leave with a list of what is still a guess, so you know exactly what to go find.

Our sales cycle is a year. Does this apply?

Yes, and it matters more. A long cycle means the pipeline for next year’s revenue has to exist early. Part one tells you the month it has to be there.

What does it cost?

Nothing. Seats are free. You get the full afternoon, the workbook and a free 30-minute plan review afterward.

Why is there an application?

So the room is the right room. The workshop is built for in-house leaders at companies doing more than $7.5 million a year, where the plan has to hold up in front of a CEO or a board. Keeping the room to that group keeps the examples and the questions useful for everyone. If your company is over $7.5 million, you’re accepted automatically.

Should I bring someone from my team?

If you can. Your sales leader or finance partner makes the numbers more honest and the plan easier to approve. Each person applies, then you build the plan side by side.

What if I can’t make it?

You still get the workbook and an invite to the next session.

Is this for agencies?

No. It is built for in-house marketing and sales leaders planning their own company’s growth.
